Sorry if this has been asked before...

The school are looking for a solution for out and about registration as well as offline registration and pupil access, both of these appear to be able to achieve the same goal, one slightly more expensive than the other, but i want to see what schools using these systems have to say about them? If you're with one would you recommend it or not, if you've used both which one would you recommend?

Thanks

We have purchased EdulinkOne, might be worth throwing into the hat as well, our teachers use if for registers and our parents are starting to use it to access their childrens' data.

Interesting i hadn't heard of that one, i've sent them a message via their website for more info. In the meantime, looking at their feature list it looks like we might be able to consolidate one or multiple other products into it, is it one whole product or do you pay per feature/component?

From the looks of it we could consolidate mintclass, capita intouch (which we all hate), showmyhomework (i would love to get rid of that but i imagine i'd be met with a lot of resistance) and whatever the heads PA uses for parents evening bookings. Savings could be huge if it's actually any good :D

It's all in for one price, if you want to use the texting part you buy sms bundles separately.

I've done a fair bit of digging since your reply.

Thank you, wish i'd heard of this years ago (if it was around years ago) looks as though it could greatly simplify the lives of parents and teachers, and save the school about £3k a year (after the cost of it is taken into account) if we abandon other programs that it can replace. In pressing times of troublesome budgets, we'd be silly not to i reckon.

As far as I'm aware, Groupcall Emerge has been an EOL product for about a year now, well that's what I was told when they couldn't fix an issue we had with this back then!

I'd be interested to find out if that was a load of #@&£ and that it's still being supplied!

That's interesting. Last year in November when we had a new SIMs server and looked at that Groupcall Emerge it looked interesting https://www.groupcall.com/product/emerge and I hadn't heard that.

Hi there.

Graham from Groupcall here.

If I have all the right details, your school was or is using CMIS?

We did EOL Emerge for CMIS last year that is correct.

Emerge for SIMS is still for sale and supported.

Regards

Graham
