As above, and as experience as one of those engineers, not value for money. They are typically forced into recommending Capita's own products and services or buying through their reseller schemes and they are usually more expensive than off the shelf prices. Edited by synaesthesia

My experience is several years old but would echo what others have said. Even if you get a good individual, and there are some (but there are some terrible ones as well) they are hamstrung by the organisation and the internal red tape.

I would go a long way to avoid having anything to do with them on any level.

Birmingham's Link2ICT have just announced the end of their partnership with Capita for certain services. If Link2ICT think they aren't up for the task, then God help them!

Link2ICT is part Capita. You probably mean BCC?

I skimmed through an email last week, maybe I misread some stuff. Though thinking about it, I now think I remember it mentioning that Link2ICT will remain under Capita whilst BCC brings some services back in-house, away from Capita.

Finally managed to get away from them - poor service but not always the engineers fault - organisation is too big.

If you get one engineer who knows what he/she is doing then you probably won't see them again - they will be off somewhere else and you will get another one who has to start from scratch.

When I first took over it would take up to week to get a new student account even though they had an on-site engineer - it had to go to northern ireland helpdesk so they can could generate a 3 digit number to go on the end of the account :-)
