Does anyone use Salto for door access in a virtualized environment w/ethernet encoder

Hello. We are moving our Salto system to a virtualized environment and prefer not to use USB redirected encoders. Would the ethernet encoders work in this situation? I was wondering if anyone is running their Salto system like this and if the vendor supports it.

Depends most access control systems panels use Poe we use Paxton though

I use Salto and my server is a virtualised 2012 R2 box. I'm not sure I understand your question though. We have mostly standalone door handles, about a dozen which connect to the network via Salto's access points, and 3 which are connected to the network. I connect the PPD and the badge programmer to my laptop via USB.
