Senior IT Engineer - Academy Trust - Hertfordshire - £28,000

 

Exciting opportunity for a Senior IT Engineer working for a leading trust of schools. You will be based at their secondary academy school in Hertfordshire. Excellent benefits are on offer which include 23 days annual leave and local government pension scheme.

 

IT Support Responsibilities:

 

· Provide 1^st to 3^rd line support across the academy’s IT network.

· Support the Windows server environment – Group Policies, AD, Backups and virtual servers.

· As well as support and maintenance the role includes project implementation – Microsoft windows, Google and apple devices.

· Office 365 management and administration

· Support Audio visual solutions across the academy

· Support the network (LAN, VLANS, Wireless and Telephony)

· Take ownership of all ICT projects and manage all third parties.

· Provide guidance and training to the onsite IT apprentice

 

About You

 

· Ideally you will have experience working in or supporting an education institution.

· Familiar with School-based ICT systems

· Good knowledge of virtualized servers (Hyper-V and VMWare)

· Solid knowledge of Windows servers, server 2016, MDT, WDS and SCCM.

· Office 365 experience.

· Provide IT Support across Apple iOS/OSX and Google technologies

· Managed Print solutions

· Cyber security, safeguarding, Data protection

· Provide IT support across the network.

 

 

Salary £28,000.

Working hours – 37 hours per week.

Free parking.

 

DBS Enhanced check will be required for this role.
