Theldron Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 Hi all, Looking for a small compressor strong enough to blast dust from computers. Usually use cans of compressed air, but they don't last that long and can be expensive when keep buying them. Also very frustrating when run out and find that that was my last one. Any recommendations? Cheers

rush_tech Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 We brought one of these https://www.amazon.co.uk/Hurricane-Canless-System-Cordless-Rechargeable/dp/B01J3IX6TQ/ref=sr_1_2?crid=1KZD6GOT8NSXL&keywords=hurricane+canless+air+system&qid=1560515532&s=gateway&sprefix=hurricane+canless%2Caps%2C162&sr=8-2 1
bald_pig Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 I recommend one of these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Dusters-CompuCleaner-Original-Electric-Duster/dp/B073F9NY1X/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=pc+duster&qid=1560516020&s=officeproduct&sr=1-4 1
Danp Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 What about a vacuum cleaner and small paint brush? I find that does as good a job but with a lot less mess 1
Rob_D Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 We use the same compu cleaner one as bald_pig. Works great for what we need. 1
bossman Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 +1 as @bald_pig uses... Excellent...made for the job... 1
6Foot2 Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 This is good, although it's currently unavailable... www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B003BZCOKK Same as @Arthur. 1
chazzy2501 Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 This is good, although it's currently unavailable... www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B003BZCOKK Yes, this is the one to get. I have this beast and it paid for its self. no more batches of 5 cans. This little beast has a 500Watt motor and with the reducing nozzle shown its like an air laser that speeds the air up even faster. It shifts dust from even old crusty AMD A8 CPU blocks with tiny fins and that greasy fluff that is strangly heavy. 1
Theldron Posted June 14, 2019 Author Posted June 14, 2019 Thanks all, just put in a PO for the one @bald_pig recommended. Can't wait to get it now, closed down a small PC room that barely got used to cannibalise the RAM from it. Just need SLT to authorise the purchase of 90 SSDs, then I can be let loose.
KJR Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 Just backing what others have said really - we recently bought a Compucleaner and they're amazing!
