Koldov Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 Need to replace an HP 250 G6 screen. https://store.hp.com/UKStore/Merch/Product.aspx?id=1WY59EA&opt=ABU&sel=DEF 39.6 cm (15.6") diagonal FHD SVA eDP anti-glare slim WLED (1920 x 1080) Looking for suppliers people have had good experiences with, rather than random Google searches...
MYK-IT Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 Quick Google search -> HP 250 G6 Replacement LCD Panel (not ordered from them personally) Amazon were listing too, though you'd had to ensure it was the correct specification / resolution etc.
HTCPCP Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 Have used both Accupart (cannot fault them one bit), and if accupart were unable to deliver/source parts, we used screens.uk 1
Koldov Posted June 13, 2019 Author Posted June 13, 2019 Thanks, Looking at Accupart, they are about £20 cheaper! Not sure why I'm worried about getting something cheaper, but it does bother me for some reason... Although I think all the sites say it, maybe they are a little more cavalier with their attitude towards 'compatible' parts...? https://www.screens.uk/B156HTN03.8+HW6B-screen-part-number.htm https://www.accupart.co.uk/products/au-optronics-b156htn03-8-15-6-laptop-screen?variant=38495434753 Although a little less detailed, the description on Accupart does make some reference to non-IPS?
HTCPCP Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 Have a look on the back of the damaged/faulty screen, it will have a part number - and search based on that - I know some manufacturers offer screen upgrades. Similarly, some screens are interchangeable with other brand laptops - especially the case with ones created by companies like Clevo, where the chasis is the same on multiple laptops but there are differences.
tl82 Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 I've bought a few HP 250 replacement screens from screens.uk. Never had a fault with them, apart from always having to get a glossy one as the matte version was sold out. 1
