I have a CSV of around 800 people who I need to email so they don't all see each other's email addresses!

I've created a new user on our office 365 tenancy and imported the list of 800 as contacts - I can't now see how to send an email and have them all added to the BCC box.

Is there a simpler way to achieve what I'm looking to do?

will office 365 even let you send 1 email to that many people at once? If so wont it get instantly detected as iffy by 365 and probably get that users sending privileges revoked?

Copy and paste into a text file. Search and Replace the comma (,) with a semi apostrophe (;)

Then just copy into the BCC field of outlook. Should work.

Simple and genius!

When we tried it (don't ask), I think we got up to 300-400 emails in a couple of hours before the account was shut down.

You should be able to register your IP as a bulk sender so the emails don't get caught as spam, but that won't stop MS from shutting down the 365 account if you send too many emails too quickly.

Thanks for the advice.

Maybe we'll do it in batches of 150 or so over the course of a day.

Limit within Office 365 is 500 recipients per message.

Create a Group - Add contacts to group then send message to group instead of individual email addresses.

Hi,

I can't see how to mass add 800 email addresses to the Groups in O365 - if you know a way I'd love to see it :)

The way I went about it was to import contacts using csvde into local AD as contacts and add to a group (e.g parents), then sync group into Office 365 via DirSync. Hence we send one email e.g. to parents@ which contains over 700 addresses.
