Hello all,

Set up GMail split delivery a couple of months ago and all was well but my finance department has one company whose emails only get through about 1 in 3 attempts. When I check the logs all it says is ...

"received from SMTP with address ...etc"

"inserted into Gmail delivery pipeline"

"bounced"

Now I have a minor belief the company has a snazzy email filtering system which is triggering Gmails security somehow but when I ask for the rejection message its not there because their filter seems to be clearing it. They have what looks like a 365 error saying it couldn't be delivered and to check the following text however there is no text.

I have added the email addresses to the spam ignore list and ticked the "suppress bounces from this recipient" on the default routing path.

Is there anything else anyone can suggest to make this go away?

Googling it just brings up generic "is the email address correct" results.

Thanks

Id love to say that but I can see from the logs its the correct email.

Annoying as hell as its just this 1 place causing the problems and we need invoices from them.

I know. All their message says was to read the full error below but its blank. The user asked their IT department who sent me a semi-snotty message about it not having any logs. I know this is nonsense and its their filter doing this but without the logs I can't prove it and it becomes a finger pointing exercise.

Post invoices to them, add an extra charge for shipping and handling due to email not working, maybe that'll help them fix it

Had them email the gmail standalone account we have for when something requires a secondary recovery email set so in essence totally separate to our domain....

was delivered but instantly marked as spam. There is something funny with their email but guess I will never know what.

They're usually pretty good.

yes.... yes they are. They called me up today and said the problem looks like its because the sender does not have any SSL on their website and is blacklisted by Google due to a poor reputation!

Just sent them on a few logs they asked for to confirm this before I go back and poke it up their snooty IT guy :)

Great shout contacting Google!

Interesting that they correlate that data.

Hey, you suck -- no I don't -- yes you do, and my friend Google says so too *Google looms over everyone else*
