Anyone know of an RSS reader that looks like a news channel?

Following on from http://www.edugeek.net/forums/av-multimedia-related/206069-looking-cheap-neat-teacher-proof-friendly-way-get-bbc-news-staffroom.html , I'm wondering if a PC on a stick and RSS might be a better (and cheaper) than buying a TV license, but I can't find anything quite suitable.

 

I'd like something like HeadsUp | Personalized News Channel that shows more of the content rather than just primarily the pictures. Anyone know of anything?

 

...and does the TES have a feed?

How big is the ticker and does it have text content past the headlines without user interaction?

School now claims to have a TV license, so the above is all a bit moot. I'd still be interested in a full screen rss reader with autoadvance and full stories, though. Edited May 2, 2019 by LeMarchand

How big is the ticker and does it have content?

 

Can be a decent size, I run it on a 24"hd screen and it's white text on a black background at the footer of my presentation, it's readable from a distance. Content is taken from and checks every 5 mins for new stories and shows 5 stories in a loop. Can show more, but that was I wanted

I think we'd need more than a footer as the original thought was to replace the BBC News channel. That's why HeadsUp would be great if there was more than just headline, picture and summary.
