LeMarchand Posted April 30, 2019 Posted April 30, 2019 Anyone else trying the above? If I use or hotspot my phone it's fine, but otherwise I can get to the page but not sign in. Assuming it's a problem with the LEA's filters, but just checking. Anyone else experiencing problems or got any ideas?

Not sure where the data comes from or goes to/what it's used for, so if anyone is actually using the site yet it would be good to know - I'm not sure we can just make up a user.

I believe the results side is due to open in July, and one of the children told me they got a results screen when they completed it but had closed it by the times I went to have a look; slightly dubious none of the others said they got any results! Completely off-topic, but if you want to recommend a cheap subscription for practicing times tables using a format which is extremely similar to this system, check out TimesTables Rockstars. Pupils are raving about it in our school! Free alternative would be something like https://mathsframe.co.uk/en/resources/resource/477/Multiplication-Tables-Check slightly different layout though. 1

Thanks. Allegedly the .GOV site seemed OK earlier, so maybe just a glitch in our filtering. Gonna try it at another site tomorrow. That site uses TTR, which the kids love - and I love that i don't have to give it unfettered access to our MIS to set up users!

MrBitey Posted May 2, 2019 Posted May 2, 2019 Did a trial run with Y4. All worked ok but interested in a couple of things. 1) The order of the questions is not randomised. The children were taking it in the IT Suite and couldn't fail to see their peers' answers in extra large text on the screens either side of them. 2) A number of them took it twice. Got to the end and just ploughed on and did it again (even though they were told to stop when they got to the end!) 1

I've been told that if a second person tries to log on wirelessly it hangs. Will test as soon as I can get a couple of log ons. Our wireless isn't top-notch (older Unifi) but everything else seems fine.

Techie2000 Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 Apologies for the delay in replying, at one school we use a suite and another we use a set of laptops. The test arrangements will be interesting though as the smaller school only has a bank of 15 laptops!
