[ms office - o365] Mapping Onedrive - HELP!!

Hi guys.

 

Im doing a project on Mapping the Onedrive for staff. At the moment we are using Office 365 in school.

Has anyone successfully got Onedrive mapped on Network location in Windows 10?

Not managed it myself, was always unreliable for me with scripts.

with you now able to do a per machine install and file on demand have you looked at just using the client ?

Not OP, but I've been trying lots of different ways to get this working, but nothing seems to be reliable. The client itself seems impossible to get working without the user having to sign in to it manually.

 

From the help website:

 

Silently sign in users to the OneDrive sync client with their Windows credentials

If you enable this setting, users who are signed in on a PC with the primary Windows account (the account used to join the PC to the domain) can set up the sync client without entering their account credentials. Users will still be shown OneDrive Setup so they can select folders to sync and change the location of their OneDrive folder.

 

This seems crazy, as who is ever going to be logged in as the same account that joined the domain?

 

Has anyone got it working completely silently for all users, so it just works without any user intervention?

Do you mean the users' individual OneDrive or the Files on Demand organisation folder?

 

If it's just the individuals' accounts, then yes, we have it working and it works on any domain client they sign in to. If it's the organisation's Files on Demand folder, then no; once data has been synchronised from SharePoint on that computer, it stays synchronised and the user doesn't need to sign in, but it's not mapped.

Its possible to add the Sharepoint libraries using GPOs, still in test phase but works here.

 

As jmak said if it is just individual account it works fine - google silently configure OneDrive
