Hey all

don't know if this is the right place to post this but here goes :)

Our lease is up for our printer across our school, we currently don't have the type of credit allocation for staff but this is something i want to put in place as our printing cost is out of control.

Has anyone moved to credit control printing for staff, how was the move and any suggestions for companies?

Thanks

We installed PaperCut last summer and haven't looked back since.

Ours was installed by Konica. We had 2 blokes deliver the new photocopiers and take the old ones away, one hardware engineer to setup the new photocopiers and a software specialist to install PaperCut on the devices and our server. It went increadibly smoothly and support from both hardware and software teams has been very good.

We also looked at a Canon solution which was very comprehensive, but in the end Konica worked out cheaper and we've had Konica for the last 6 years so knew their support was good and that swayed it for us.

We're on PaperCut here, really good at managing how much is going into printing. It's a shock to see how much paper we all use though!

I would definitely recommend PaperCut. I had it installed at a previous school and I managed to reduce printing costs dramatically along with reducing the amount of classroom printers from 38 to 22. Forcing larger jobs to the MFDs rather than the classroom laser printers. (Staff are lazy!) Head Teacher loved the reporting feature and regularly pulled up staff and their printing and wastage.
