I enjoy watching old car reviews and videos. It just shows how far we have come design wise.

You just have to love the lumbar support and seat height mechanisms in the base model!

That is absolutely amazing.

 

There's just too much to pick out, but its incredible to think that even in '85 rear seatbelts were an optional extra. In the video the kids are in the back seat with no belts whilst the car is bombing down the motorway!

I remember, as a kid, my dad paying extra for seltbelts in the back for me and my brother!

I remember my brother and I pressed up against the estate cars rear window/door going on holiday in the 70's as the rest of the car was full of luggage

We had one of those Scorpios. Nice car in most respects - but that auto box wasn't much of a thing. Paired with the Cologne 2.9 V6 it was slow and single-figure thirsty. Well equipped and comfy though. The later revised cars had leather, and the top model had the Cosworth designed head which made it desirable for transplants. I still like the shape!
