We have recently started using SIMS Parent App, parents (including myself) aren't receiving notifications when we send a message or an upcoming event reminder. I've looked at the settings on my phone which are OK so I'm guessing we're missing something in the app itself.

Does anyone have any tips we could share with our parents to resolve this issue please?

Thanks

Check that those parents not receiving have parental responsibility and that they are the main contact.

Also check the permissions are ticked within the online app settings. I've also noticed there is a very long delay in changes being actioned sometimes. In addition check your spam and that the email address is not blocked. I think it's [email protected].

Sorry to resurrect a thread which is a little older, but I have parents with the same issue (notifications not coming through). This has happened intermittently for a while, but I'd previously assumed that parents had not allowed notifications on their devices. The staff we have who are parents have no issues, and I've added myself as a test parent (after getting permission) to check and on my phone I get messages and notifications. But some parents apparently are not getting the push notifications, and one in particular has sent me screenshots of his App settings on his phone, so he hasn't blocked them and all the settings look to be reasonably logical.

Has anyone had any luck working this one out?

We have registered with SIMS Parent and In Touch this year. It's been a tough old slog getting it set up! I have parents bringing the same issue to my attention i.e.not receiving push notifications despite having them enabled in their phone settings. It's a bit frustrating as it's one of the main reasons we moved to SIMS Parent because we wanted the Push notifications.

Don't really know which steo to take next when parents have shown that they have them enabled on their phone?!

On another note do any of you know if it's possible to turn the two way messaging off? Only want people to reply to the In Touch messages we send out, don't want them to be able to reply to messages sent out on SIMS Engagement.
