[1809, ou] Windows 10, moving away from using 3rd party AntiVirus software

I currently use NOD32 antivirus in my Win 8.1 environment and have been happy with it. BUT it costs real money about £1200 a year. I'm thinking that I'll just roll out Windows 10 with defender, The PCs are all locked down have LAPS and the users are running with standard privileges. I loose central reporting but I can't think of a real issue.

 

 

Anyway sanity check from people here?

We've used W10 and Defender (and FEP before that) for years and it's been OK. We originally installed SCCM purely for the centrallised monitoring etc. so you might want to look at that.

Since migrating to W10 and using SCCM we exclusively use SCEP/Defender and (touch wood) have had no problems. It seems to be working as it's picking up and preventing malware.

We are also using SCCM's SCEP/Defender/Forefront. It takes over management of Windows 10's Defender and so far, has been working great.

Defender here as well, there is no need for 3rd party Anti virus products these days.

SCCM licenses are cheaper than ESET and you get a whole heap more than just AV!
