Well, it's more than underway now and the wind has been pretty relentless here in Preston, but it will be interesting to see what damage will be done with this three day weather system.

I'll bet the roofing and fencing industries are rubbing their hands with glee!

Rather windy here a few miles away in Blackpool - 58mph gusts apparently. Expecting to have to replace more of the fence (lost 2 sections plus a gate last month in the wind), just hoping it doesn't rip the asbestos roof off the garage.

Well, my iffy panel is now lying flat in the back garden. It's going to be at least Friday before I can put it back again given the wind speeds until then.

According to another forum I was on, the big storm we had a few years back completely stripped UK stocks of fence panels, so much so that they had to get an entire shipload from Latvia!

Rochdale Council might as well not bother with the recycling collection today. The contents of the bins are all over the roads.

Woke me up last night in Rotherham/Sheffield. Seems to be the worst storm we’ve had wind wise of recent times.

I’ve had a tree fall on the car some years ago - so always a little apprehensive about driving when it’s so windy.

Was in Kendal last night, the drive down the M6 to Preston at 10.30pm was interesting!!

Next door's scaffolding tower blew over onto our drive, luckily missed the cars, but took out (smashed) our bin and the daughters netball hoop on our wall. School has a flood and 2 significant leaks in our 15 year old building.....

The worst of the wind seems to have missed here, I was able to ride my bike in to work still, there was a cold breeze this morning and that's it!

There was some heavy rain yesterday which managed to cause a leak in one of our corridors though.

Over the weekend in South East Kent we just had a lot of wind

Yesterday we had rain and wind nothing to note though.

Today we have sunshine and a bit of wind.

The worst of the storm seems to have passed us by.
