jblackburnHWGA Posted November 25, 2020 Posted November 25, 2020 i've not spotted this in the previous comments but have any of you moved your cashless catering to cloud? We have CRBCunninghams which is running off a server. Is there a cloud alternative?

jblackburnHWGA Posted November 25, 2020 Posted November 25, 2020 Brill, thanks I'll give them a ring and get some details off them
jblackburnHWGA Posted November 30, 2020 Posted November 30, 2020 Sorry another question we're using spiceworks onprem helpdesk. I was about to move it to the cloud version but noticed I can't link it to users from Azure. It just has a connector program. Is anyone using SPiceworks cloud? Do you just use it without the user accounts? Is anyone aware of a free/cheap basic helpdesk that is azure connected? Ideally i wanted a portal for job logging that was user aware along with the e-mail in function

Ideally i wanted a portal for job logging that was user aware along with the e-mail in function I switched from Spiceworks online to Freshdesk. I don't think linking up to Azure AD is free, but it's definitely possible. Basic Freshdesk is free, might be worth checking out.
DrCheese Posted November 30, 2020 Posted November 30, 2020 We pay for our freshdesk & it's worth every penny. I would fight tooth and nail to keep it.
jblackburnHWGA Posted November 30, 2020 Posted November 30, 2020 I can't see anything regarding azure connection but there is some stuff in there about teams integration. I'll give them an e-mail, i'd need the paid for version anyway as i want to run off reports
jmak Posted November 30, 2020 Posted November 30, 2020 I used to use the cloud version of Spiceworks and managed without user accounts. They had to put their email address in to log an issue and on the free version you could set it to reject everything that doesn't come from your domain. It also uses a custom URL for your instance. If you put a link to that on a web page that your staff access by logging in with their Azure AD account you'd only have fairly limited exposure even without making them log in. Most of the (very few) staff who used it submitted cases using the dedicated email address, which again rejected anything that wasn't sent from our school domain email.
