[isams] ISAMS NURSERY MANAGEMENT

We are switching to ISAMS soon, and I am wondering how their nursery management software will cope with the many problems associated with nursery enrolment - e.g. mid-term start, odd days, so many session options, different age groups, etc.

 

Do we need to look at Kindersoft or Parenta to handle this, or will ISAMS will be ok?

 

Any advice based on experience would be appreciated, thanks.

I fully sympathise with your problems. When I left an independent school (not iSams) with a nursery four years ago, nothing seemed to cope with weird nursery sessions and billing.

 

Everyone we spoke to said “well, we have an excel spreadsheet”

 

It will be amazing if at least one of these systems has caught up!

As a school that uses ISAMS and has a nursery, it doesn't have any kind of inbuilt way to manage the things you mentioned. The way I have done it is by creating custom fields, but its far from perfect.

have you migrated yet ? I'm thinking of migrating to them too but not sure about the nursery

We use iSAMS but the nursery has its own separate software to handle the billing etc. I'm not sure if this was due to not being able to do it as we wanted in iSAMS or if it was just to get people the ability to pay online for nursery vs fee invoice we use for the junior and senior schools.
