How have I managed to miss this? I wonder where series 1 ends - at the end of the first book? Really looking forward to the Amber spyglass parts.

I've watched episode 1 as part of a YouGov survey.... can't say I was that captivated by it. There were effects etc missing but you get the general gist. Just felt a bit boring.

Have to say I thought the casting in the film was generally better but maybe this time they'll get past the first book. Thankfully the film ended at a decent point for a standalone - if they'd gone all the way to the end of the book...

 

Maybe in 12 years we might get a TV series of Mortal Engines that makes it through all 4 books?
