So, we've been discussing Eve Online on the Edugeek Discord over the last few days. Is anyone up for creating an Edugeek Corp? My thinking is, I would like to play but don't have the time for a lot of the super serious corps that are around that kinda need 2am raiding etc...

So, if we create an Edugeek Corp, we will mostly have similar lifestyles and time requirements so it might work better.

What do people think? Anyone up for it?

If theres no real "requirement" other than, common sense, play when you can, support each other etc etc, then im game. Half reason i never played it as i never had real time, and some elitish snobs. But be nice to be able to casualy play on lunch, or after work for a hour or so here and there, get involed and have a giggle =)

Yeah, that's the idea! Just to have fun, if we can with our busy lives!

Don't tempt me, Frodo. I never really got suckered into it too much, was always on the fringes and never really dared venture through low/null-sec. I had my own corp once, back in the day, never amounted to much, 15-20 members. And like you say, joining ones these days require stupid amounts of dedication.

I'm in a bit of a gaming lull at the moment until X4 gets patched and Bannerlord gets released. Your offer is tempting. What would be the objective (besides having fun)? PvE? PvP? Anything/Everything?

I think we'd have to decide on a day by day basis - as different things depend on numbers on etc...

So it could be the case of a lot of old vets dusting off their piloting gear and giving it a go. I might be up for that.

I played on-and-off last year with a friend, we did some co-op stuff. My account is in a position to help anyone with anything. I think I have cash and ships to dive into any mission.

Yup. I have a few ships around, not many though as I left a lot with my old corp.

I suppose I'm missing the obvious question, as I'm Caldari...

EVE is not a game where I'd want to be starting again!

Oh yeah, we'd be using our existing characters if we have em. I'm Gallente, but cross trained in the ways of the Caldari :p

You may be able to bend my arm. I'm happy with travelling to wherever the majority of players are.

I'll find discord details later tonight or tomorrow. I don't have much time for things on Wednesdays but I'll hop on the Discord and catch up with.

I'd be up for this, I literally only ever did PVE with a few friends from college and never got back into it as I never really have the time to commit the hours most corps expect.

Starting new with friends is much better than starting new solo!

It is. EVE is a daunting beast if you're trying to play alone.

@localzuk how much interest was there in Discord? What kind of player count are we looking at so far?

I downloaded the EVE client again last night and got as far as remembering my account details.

If we're going to give this a shot, I'll pump a month's sub in and hop online tonight. My main character name is Mako Fargrath. I'll be lurking in the discord too. Feel free to hit me up, I'll spend most of tonight trying to remember where I was and taking stock of my assets.

I'm tempted (used to be in a corp in old Hydra Alliance, then TEST), I suspect all my stuff's in a null-sec station that's changed hands a couple of hundred times since I last played.
