Pupil Progress Tracking

Hello all,

 

forgive me if this is the wrong forum but I couldn't see anywhere better to put it.

 

Our assessment monitor is School pupil tracker online, which will no longer be around at the end of this year. I need to have a look around at something to replace it. I was hoping you lovely people would be give me some recommendations for this type of software? spto has its issues but I've got used to them now so anything new seems a bit scary. i can see this could be a good opportunity to get something better though. We are a primary school if that helps.

Our primary schools use Traget Tracker. They seem to like it - Target Tracker

Probably shouldn't be posting as I work for the company, but FrogProgress was built with the NAHT to address assessing progress in both Primary and Secondary. Not my department, but honestly it is worth a look:

Hi all... I posted this on a similar thread on the TES forum yesterday:

 

We use OTrack.

 

We've used it for years now and they've always been great with us.

 

They've got an article about SPTO switch overs on their site: optimumotrack.co.uk/otrack-and-spto

 

All trackers seem to be in hyper-promotion mode with the SPTO closure! It's especially mad on EduTwitter! Ha!

It's very much designed around NC capabilities - the statements are built in and you track pupils against them. We don't record test results in it, but the point would be that if the teacher has assessed that they can meet the capability statement then they should hit that level in the test. I believe you can customise the statements, but if you need to do that, it's probably the wrong product for you.

 

We use it in a nursery and infant. The feedback I hear (I don't personally use it for progress tracking) is that it is not as strong for EYFS - in particular we can't submit a baseline for children in reception who've been to our nursery without either losing the progress that the nursery recorded or missing out the first half term's progress. In a primary that's probably less of an issue as the focus will be further up the school.

 

Their support is good when you call up and the software and updates are easy to deploy.

From speaking to other schools I'm pretty sure all the systems below have options for you to have your own statements. As I said, I've always used OTrack so I know they can, but I believe all these can:

Learning Ladders

Educater

Frog Progress

The Primary where I used to work used Target Tracker - they seemed to like it

 

support where helpful as well on the few occaisions that I needed to ring them

We used to use Pupil Asset but when we moved away from levels it stopped working as well for us, so now we use Target Tracker. I know our staff wrote some custom statements but it's a lot of work and easier if you can work with the included statements.

Add Pupil Asset to this list too - supports all tracking models and is very customisable and does​ support without levels.
