Meraki - MDM still free?

Is the Meraki MDM licences still free for 100 devices?

Only if you have it already, and then there are limitations.

I personally haven't used this yet, but it seems a few people here are using Mosyle (https://mosyle.com/) now.

Mosyle is very good, I used it at a previous school. I'm now using a paid for version of Lightspeed and really wishing I was using the free Mosyle instead. Just not keen on trying to move all our existing iPads across to a new system.

This is the same reason I haven't moved yet... over 70 iPads... may $Deity have mercy on my soul...

If you want free your options or few but if you want cheaper paid versions there are plenty out there some are school oriented and some are business oriented but say we cover schools do whereas they don’t really, the reason being they say the underline concept of schooling and business is the same, not quiet right but they insist it is (and give 1000s of examples to back their opinion, none fit rightly so in school environment.

I currently have 100 "free licences" with meraki but 140+ ipads, so only 100 are on the MDM. I really like Meraki but if we were to pay for the extra licences I would have to pay for all 140 not just those above the first 100.

 

I noticed that there was Mosyle (and maybe one by Comodo as well), please can you explain the limitations of it? Is it free for an unlimited number of ipads?

Some of the bulk actions are restricted but you can have an unlimited number of iPads. I had about 90 and didn’t miss any of the restrictions.

 

It would be things like bulk renaming or setting wallpaper.

You can still do restrictions and apply apps on bulk.
