Harry1980 Posted November 22, 2018 Posted November 22, 2018 Hi All, I have setup Ubiquiti Unifi AP's a few years ago. I cannot remember the username and password I used for the controller software. Is there anyway I can retrieve the username and password or create a new username and password. I only have 3 unifi AP's and using windows server 2012. Any help will be most appreciated. Thanks in advance.

LeMarchand Posted November 22, 2018 Posted November 22, 2018 I think that when I did this, I just uninstalled/reinstalled the software and reset/readopted the switches. I assume you don't have access to the browser you used to use to view the console?
Harry1980 Posted November 22, 2018 Author Posted November 22, 2018 I have set it up on my current laptop. The version I originally installed didn't work so I installed version 5.9.29. when I try to Launch a Browser to manage the network nothing happens. Gives me the message this site is not secure, when I click on More Information and select Go on the website (not recommended) nothing happens. I have installed version 5.6.40 on the server and that allows me to go to the controller user interface by clicking on Launch a Browser to manage the network but the problem is I cant remember the username and password.
cullingsh Posted November 22, 2018 Posted November 22, 2018 Have you tried the default username and password?

Harry1980 Posted November 22, 2018 Author Posted November 22, 2018 Is that username: ubnt and password: ubnt? I have tried that but no luck. - - - Updated - - - I have tried it on IE and Chrome.
LeMarchand Posted November 22, 2018 Posted November 22, 2018 I have tried it on IE and Chrome. Doesn't Chrome store its passwords in an accessible way? (Like Firefox). If not, have you tried something like IE Password View?

I have tried that. it doesn't have any unifi details. its easily been nearly 2 years since I've configured the ap's and left them.
