Papercut Double charging for HTML documents

Hoping someone can offer a better solution or workaround then i have in place at the moment

 

I have found if you print a webpage or use software that exports a report to a html the print costs are inaccurate even if you confirm the number of pages in print preview. eg 1 page webpage will charge maybe 2 pages even if you select print only page 1 or current page.

 

The workaround i have in place is currently advising my users to convert the html page to a pdf then print the pdf but that advice is not been welcomed as a permanent workaround/solution.

 

Has anyone managed to work out a better solution

We're using PapercutMF - just started this academic year. I just tried printing a webpage selecting 1 page and it worked properly for me and only charge me 1 page. Which version of PaperCut are you using? We're on 18.2.

We too have just had this installed this academic year. Papercut mf18.3.1 build 46983

Installed on server 2016

Devises are all varying models of sharp

Mx3050v

We have 2 virtual queues with the mx 3050 driver installed

Is it just in Internet Explorer this happens, what happens if you run it through Chrome?

 

Go back to Internet Explorer go to printing preferences, detailed settings, other settings, change the duplex style from 3 to 1 and try and it does it charge you 1 rather than 2 pages?

You sir are a legend of insurmountable proportion. go to your boss and ask for a payrise. i have spent probably 3 days over two weeks looking at this, you have no idea how much this has bugged me. Such a simple solution, man I salut you.

 

Do you know the reason why it happens in IE?

SOLVED - Turn duplex off

Don't know why, only happens in IE in all the testing I did. Odd one really.
