bbc newsround RSS feed

have realised that the newround RSS feed on our digital signage screens is no longer updated by the bbc - - this still has world cup stories on.

struggling to find anything about it from bbc or google.

Are they discontinuing it?

Don't want to have main news feed as sometimes too disturbing for 11- 16 years.

Anyone else have same problem or suggestions for suitable RSS feed?

Yep, we've noticed this on ours as well. Tempting to put the disturbing news feed up to see if anyone is actually paying attention to our digital signage...

You can put BBC local weather on https://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/about/17543675 - have done this for now until I can get something more interesting

This happened before and they knew but were working on it. I think I then found a new URL had been posted without any fanfare. Either the problem has happened again or they have abandoned it quietly.

 

I've sent a message to the BBC, see what happens.

I think the BBC did too, in around 2018 AFAICT.

 

Not much luck through other methods, but you may get a working feed if you sign up at rss.app

 

The preview looks promising.

Did you have any luck with this? I added the bbc link to the rss feed and it looks rubbish (keeps showing techsource for each article).

 

 

Any ideas appreciated.

Anyway, I'm a big fan of RSS - I get to pick where I want news from, rather than what Google or MS think I need to know, to the extent that all my machines have Desktop Ticker installed

 

 

and I have Feedly for when I have time to actually sit down and read (i.e. at breakfast).

 

I've contacted the BBC (they do have some working feeds, as above) but don't hold your breath!

Much to my surprise, I actually got a reply from the BBC. OK, it was a standard one, but more than I was expecting.

The newsround feeds are running. There's a redirect from https://feeds.bbci.co.uk/newsround/home/rss.xml to https://feeds.bbci.co.uk/newsround/rss.xml which is showing content from today, so all looks good
