gumbygaz Posted October 19, 2018 Posted October 19, 2018 Our sports hall scoreboard controller antenna has been broken off So seeing what replacements I can cobble together, but no idea what connector it is to find the right antenna. I've emailed the company but it's so old I'm not sure they'll be able to help. Anybody else know what this is? SMA? RF? Thanks!
bald_pig Posted October 19, 2018 Posted October 19, 2018 Looks like a TNC connector: https://www.datapro.net/techinfo/wifi_conn.html 1
Bhavesh78 Posted October 19, 2018 Posted October 19, 2018 It's look like Brake connector or TNC Connector .. we use to have them in school long time ago.. 1
Seb1780 Posted October 19, 2018 Posted October 19, 2018 (edited) Mostly looks like a 90 degree F connector - not sure though https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=images&cd=&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwi6kvSPm5LeAhUFz4UKHVi-DKsQjRx6BAgBEAU&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.reichelt.com%2Fde%2Fen%2Fantenna-cable-f-135-db-typ-4x-shielded-1-0-m-goobay-70481-p237691.html&psig=AOvVaw0ZEYfG-v_4toNL956DDrmE&ust=1540028320435744 Edit - what they said https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/products/1225248/?grossPrice=Y&cm_mmc=UK-PLA-DS3A-_-google-_-PLA_UK_EN_Connectors-_-Rf_And_Coaxial_Connectors%7CRf_And_Coaxial_Adapters-_-PRODUCT+GROUP&matchtype=&pla-536379133671&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIrK7U9ZuS3gIVBPlRCh1C7gM1EAQYAiABEgLFw_D_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds Edited October 19, 2018 by Seb1780 1
gumbygaz Posted October 19, 2018 Author Posted October 19, 2018 Thanks all, does seems most likely to be the TNC one. Cheers, will give https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/telemetry-antennas/1336554/ a go and see what happens!
stevejp Posted October 20, 2018 Posted October 20, 2018 Think they might still be in use -saw several cricket scoreboards with them over the course of the summer.
MatthewL Posted October 20, 2018 Posted October 20, 2018 If you have a local radio type shop should be able to pick some up from there, I have something similar on a radio setup here.
