An I/O operation initiated by the Registry failed unrecoverably. The registry could not read in, or write, or flush, one of the files that contain the system's image of the registry.

I get this upon boot up after imaging several toshiba sat pro laptops. Any ideas??

If you get this with all laptops you've imaged (which are the same make and model), then it sounds like you have a corrupt registry within your image :(

It must be something to do with the image (logically). In theory, if you have a machine which isn't displaying error messages, you could create an image from this. Maybe worth a try.

It would be interesting also to see if they're all using the same make/model/capacity of hard disk, as I have seen similar problems to this before.

I presume that you have Sysprepped the image prior to imaging? So ideally, Sysprep's Mini Setup is the first thing you see when the computer first boots.

It does sound like there could be a problem with the image, or there was a problem in the registry of the machine you used to create the image that only manifests itself under certain conditions?
