Arthur Posted October 2, 2018 Posted October 2, 2018 (edited) The ISOs are listed on VLSC but you can't them download yet. https://blogs.windows.com/windowsexperience/2018/10/02/how-to-get-the-windows-10-october-2018-update For our commercial customers, the release of the Windows 10, version 1809 on 2 October 2018 marks the start of the servicing timeline for the Semi-Annual Channel (“Targeted”) release; and beginning with this release, all future feature updates of Windows 10 Enterprise and Education editions that release around September will have a 30 month servicing timeline. Just as we’re immediately beginning rolling out the October Update in phases to consumers, we recommend IT administrators do the same within their organizations to validate that apps, devices, and infrastructure used by their organization work well with the new release before broadly deploying. We use data to guide our phased consumer rollout and encourage commercial customers to do the same through Windows Analytics. The update is now available through Windows Server Update Services (WSUS), Windows Update for Business (WUfB) and System Center Configuration Manager’s (SCCM) phased deployment. For an overview of what’s new and what’s changed, please see What’s new for IT pros in Windows 10, version 1809. Edit. Windows Server 2019 has appeared in VLSC too. Edited October 2, 2018 by Arthur 3
thatley Posted October 3, 2018 Posted October 3, 2018 Thanks Arthur. Without sounding like a total pessimist, lets see what they've broken in this release!
DJ-1701 Posted October 3, 2018 Posted October 3, 2018 (edited) Also taken from the Download page on VLSC. Special Instructions NOTE : SOME LANGUAGES WILL BE AVAILABLE BY OCTOBER 9TH 2018 Known issues are documented here. Although, even the English (US) version is not downloadable as of yet, let alone English International (UK) as @Arthur has mentioned. Edited October 3, 2018 by DJ-1701
caffrey Posted October 3, 2018 Posted October 3, 2018 New ADK too https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/get-started/adk-install 2
Norphy Posted October 3, 2018 Posted October 3, 2018 This is weird In my VLSC, I can see: 32 bit Windows 10 1809 Enterprise ARM64 Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2019 Server 2019 But I can't see any version of Windows 10 Education 1809 or the x64 version of Enterprise. Ugh, Microsoft...
CHiLL Posted October 3, 2018 Posted October 3, 2018 New ADK too https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/get-started/adk-install It's worth noting that Microsoft have removed WinPE from the ADK and it's now installable as an 'ADK add-on'. The download link for the WinPE add-on is on the same page as the ADK and has to be installed after the ADK has installed. 4

supportman Posted October 3, 2018 Posted October 3, 2018 Loving explorer dark mode! This is probably the most useful feature I have seen in Windows 10. Marvellous!
DalekSec Posted October 3, 2018 Posted October 3, 2018 Loving explorer dark mode! This is probably the most useful feature I have seen in Windows 10. Marvellous! Loved it in finder on Mojave and love it in 1809. DARKEN ALL THE THINGS!!!!
sted Posted October 3, 2018 Posted October 3, 2018 has anyone found an updated gpo spreadsheet so we can see what has been added (bar disabling printing in edge which is probably a good thing as it kills print queues)

mullet_man Posted October 3, 2018 Posted October 3, 2018 This is weird In my VLSC, I can see: 32 bit Windows 10 1809 Enterprise ARM64 Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2019 Server 2019 But I can't see any version of Windows 10 Education 1809 or the x64 version of Enterprise. Ugh, Microsoft... I think same for me, I can see Enterprise but not Education 1809. Although didn't they make the editions one download and you pick the edition when you install? So will downloading Enterprise allow me to choose Education?

Arthur Posted October 3, 2018 Author Posted October 3, 2018 Random question, is 1809 an LTSB/C release? Yeah. Every time a new Windows Server LTSC is released there's a corresponding Windows 10 LTSC released. www.edugeek.net/forums/windows-10/199913-sw_dvd5_win_ent_ltsb_2016_64bit_english_mlf_x21-07421-iso.html#post1707664
Blue_Cookeh Posted October 3, 2018 Posted October 3, 2018 Yasss can't wait to check out the improvements to AutoPilot deployment! Hopefully I'll be able to say adios to SCCM and migrate fully to AAD and Intune for our student devices this year.
gshaw Posted October 3, 2018 Posted October 3, 2018 1809 also meant to have the redesigned faster update mechanism isn't it? That'll be the one to start testing with for next round of deployment I think, should have the full 30-month support too
DJ-1701 Posted October 3, 2018 Posted October 3, 2018 Come on Microsoft... upload Windows 10 Education English International x64 already! I don't care if you are on US Time, it's the 3rd already!
gshaw Posted October 3, 2018 Posted October 3, 2018 Come on Microsoft... upload Windows 10 Education English International x64 already! I don't care if you are on US Time, it's the 3rd already! I can't even get into VLSC let alone a download

I don't care if you are on US Time, it's the 3rd already! You can get it by downloading the "Windows 10 Enterprise" version, that has the English Internation version available. The ISO contains all the versions of Windows 10, including Education. Edit: As pointed out by @DJ-1701, the 64-bit version isn't available yet. Edited October 3, 2018 by CHiLL

As both @Katy and I have tried. 1
