Hi Guys,

I have a very odd problem and I am unable to resolve it.

We have an NEC M230X projector in one of our classrooms. According to the manual it is stuck in standby/power saving mode. I have tried plugging into the PC Control port, however, the projector cannot be recognised because it is in standby/power saving mode. I have tried connecting the VGA into Computer 1 IN and reboot the computer to send signals to the projector. This does not work either. Why have this feature if nothing can be done to turn it back on.

Is there anyway I can factory reset this projector without having to turn it on?

Cheers

Hi Chris,

This didn't work. I believe it's because it is stuck in power saving mode. Such a useless feature. I don't know who enabled it or why they did.

Did you ever fix this. I have the same problem with one.

I did not. In the end I had to downgrade the board/projector with a Sanyo XE40.

I did ring NEC about it but all they said is "send it to us" which we do not have the green to do.
