Medical records and medication

How does everyone record medical records in their medical centers? and share that information with other users?

 

Our staff want to buy in some 3rd party software but i'm trying to work out why they cant just use Sims or spreadsheet!!

Thanks Yeh pretty much my thoughts, everything should go on Sims.

 

Problem is our matrons want to scan in medical notes and all sorts. I think its a case of using the old system, and trying to fit it back into Sims somehow

SIMS allows staff to add attachments in whatever format... ours scan to PDF and attach in Medical Notes on the student's record within SIMS as appropriate.

Still having a big debate in our school about how to track and keep stock of medication.

 

Sims doesn't appear to have any stock control features... Is there anything else someone can suggest?

I was trying to avoid extra software, but that looks nice.

 

Does it import from Sims ok? Or is there a burden to keep the records synced with Sims?

If you want stock control, you have no option but to look to external software.

It imports from SIMS but doesn't writeback into SIMS. There's an agent on our SIMS server that runs nightly.
