Alternative software

Good Afternoon All,

 

I need some software advice, if I can. Has anybody found an alternative software to 2Simple? They have discontinued all of the software they did before like create a story and 2beat and such. So has anybody found a worthy alternative please?

Isn't (most of?) it rolled into their Purple Mash platform?

 

The school I'm at today doesn't use either, but one of my others still deploys the "installed" versions of 2Simple and the other subscribes to Purple Mash. If you don't get a better answer I'll see if someone can log me on tomorrow.

+ 1 for Purple Mash. It seems to have solved almost all our littley needs. I can confirm 2Create a Story and 2Beat are there.

Indeed, purple mash; it's all there and as a result it's also available cross-platform.

Another vote for Purple Mash here. Massively better than 2Simple - all the old tools are there plus loads more and in my view, the most valuable addition is all of the topic based resources and curriculum aligned tasks. You can also allocate them to students and classes "Google Classroom" style and keep copies for a portfolio of work. Organise a free demo.

At my last school they still used old versions of all that stuff

 

unsupported but still worked on Windows 7 - and worked fine on Windows 10 when I tested it

 

(very old version - the install CDs confirmed it was compatible with Win 98)

We purchased a bundle of the original 2Simple software on DVD that they put out.

Were still running it in my schools on Win10 1803.

Thanks everyone, looks like I needed to put more research in. on the flip side, I will be recommending purple mash to the department which uses the software! I wasn't aware all of the old bit of software were there!
