WiFi re authentication automation possible?

WPA was turned off on my WiFi network in favour of WPA2 and now all of my devices need to re authorise. This hasn't been the effect on neighbouring schools so I don't know what's different about my config. We're on Windows 7 Pro. Some of them are on Windows 10.

 

I don't really want to visit them all and manually rejoin them. In most cases that means logging in as admin.

Is there anything at all I can do centrally to automate the process?

Sorry - connection is via SSID. Personal not enterprise. We have user management through Cisco Identity Services Engine.

Re-configuration involves deleting the non working SSID and entering the identical information in again to recreate it.

I see it can be done via GPO - just giving that a go...

Bit late now, but that's the way we have it set up (startup script adds in the xml). Though in our case it happens post image when machines are still wired to the network. If your machines haven't got a network connection you may have to turn the WPA one back on for a few days?

Edited to say - this is personal and not enterprise. Our issue now is.. we can automate importing a config but not delete an existing config.

 

The change was done at the LA. We asked yesterday for the change to be reverted but it hasn't happened this morning. I might escalate this with the LA.

More or less the same process, I think.

 

netsh wlan show profiles

 

Find the name of your WPA profile.

 

netsh wlan delete profile name="WPAprofile"

 

Set it up after you think people have got the new one!
