fiza Posted June 12, 2018 Posted June 12, 2018 We have HP switches throughout our site. I want to get more familiar with the CLI. I can only find CISCO courses on the net. limawhiskey Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 (edited) I have attended Cisco training and we use Procurve switches. I found that the concepts are the important thing. Procurve CLI is similar enough to Cisco that you should not struggle to apply the same logic. Of course, some commands and features are proprietary Cisco - a good trainer will explain this. Having said all that, I might just check out the Pluralsight course as my knowledge is a bit out of date. @jslate1980 - is this the one? rich_tech Posted June 22, 2018 Posted June 22, 2018 cisco stuff is a decent standard to learn, its also generally transferrable to the majority of other switches, you just need to learn the individual quirks of the different makes, I am having fun at the moment programming the Dell Powerconnect switches where I work to work with Shoretel phones on VLANs. Pluralsight is excellent as well and surprisingly affordable if your organisation won't pay for training (£20 a month or thereabouts)
