Online Application Forms

Hi All,

 

I have been asked to look into online applications forms for collecting applications for our Sixth Form. We've previously done this all by paper and email. We want to move into a modern way of collecting this information and wondered what systems other schools/sixth forms use to collect the application?

We have our application form online via website and details emailed to 6th Form team and a copy to the applicant.

 

Website is wordpress and Ninja forms.

To name a few different options we use.

 

PDF- an editable PDF is sent to students to fill out and send back

Survey Monkey - they fill out the questions and the data is exported

Google Forms - Same as above.

We use LimeSurvey for this and for all of our school surveys / application forms. It's open-source. You could also use Microsoft Forms if you are an O365 school

We use Google Forms. Data goes directly into a spreadsheet. Autocrat add-on merges some the data and send out a pdf summary to the applicant after they submit the form. Head of Sixth form has a notification rule on the sheet and gets the daily digest emailed to him.

Wordpress website here as well. Self hosted, so no data location issues.
