Replacing a projector in a class, but the current mount is a custom drilled plate on an SMS brand boom arm, which will need to be replaced with a universal mount.

The problem is that the current fixing looks like this:

while the current mount from SMS (a reasonable £40) looks like this:

My Google-Fu is failing me; can anyone suggest somewhere to get a universal mount (or and adapter) from? I did find some places that sold what looked like the entire boom arm with an older style mount, but that seemed like overkill.

What about trying to fit something like this to your existing mount?

Might work; I'll see if I can find the measurements. I suspect that the first pivot may be too wide. The current only is c.2cm.

Our low tech solution to replacing mounts has been 3mm aluminium plate screwed to the new projector, then bolted to the existing mount. Drill the holes exactly where you need them for a fraction of the price of a new mount

Cheers - but Primary School, so no fancy equipment. Might ask the head if the "big school" could help out if I don't find anything.

We bought the plate pre cut from amazon, borrowed the site teams drill with a metal drill bit. Nothing fancy.

You've not met our site manager! (I don't have anything suitable at home).
