My wife is a spoons pub manager and I know from her experience that they focus on complaints made via trip advisor and communications made direct to head office. Each complaint they do act on! At least in both pubs she’s been on the management team have followed this as a rule. Never have I heard her having to reply to Facebook/Twitter complaints.

I've always been fine with being in Wetherspoons. Either for breakfasts or drinking sessions. It's always been 'looked' down upon and that only typical football fans go to which is a load of crap.

Having been going to Spoons for many years you really do get a bit of every sauce type of person.

Apparently war veterans never go there to enjoy a meal, drink or call it their local, which I can personally say isn't true. Think some people need to broaden their horizons on the types that go there. I find older people easier to talk to because they couldn't care less where they eat or drink. They are quite thick skinned.

It is, what it is. Wethespoons provide cheap drink and food. Their target market is varied, but they provide a simple no fuss customer service approach. So deleting social media accounts will be saving time and money for them as a company as it will be nothing to manage. If complaints are rife, stick your head in the sand and pretend it's not happening. I'm not sure how that's going to work out for them, but think people will still come for the cheap food and drink
