Hi,

Someone has pointed out to me that the ICO say "If a school wishes to use pictures of their staff on the school website, staff must provide an unambiguous indication that they consent to their picture being used."

I'm guessing that I now need staff to sign up before the 25th May to consent to their photo been on the website and up in the school reception ? Or can we use it under a different processing reason?

I cannot think of any way of getting round this. Schools are not required to put anyone's photo on their website. All parties, staff and children (or parents) must consent. The ICO words are not ambiguous.

Hi,

From what I have heard from my Network Manager, yes they must give consent, however at any time they may redact their consent and ask for removal, same goes for students, whether this be on the website or on a framed photograph.
