Hi,

To get Classflow Connect to work through Active Inspire you need to manually add the proxy settings to the application.

Is anyone aware of a way around this? Or a way that we can do this during installation or after? Perhaps something in the registry?

The issue we will have is that we will need to do this for 70 users, or have them do this on their own. So we would prefer to automate it if possible.

Thanks

Hi @Fraserb82,

I will post my reply here from the other post :)

Hi @Fraserb82,

There is no easy way to push the proxy settings out across the network.

They are stored within each individual ActivInspire profile (of which there can be many if a teacher creates their own).

There may be a way of doing this, however it might not work.

On one machine, add the proxy settings for each ActivInspire profile, and save.

Then copy the profile files from that machine, and push to the other machines on your network into the same location.

They are stored (by default) here:

C:\Users\%username%\Documents\Activ Software\ActivInspire\My Resources\My Profiles

Thanks

Hi Phillyrover,

Thanks for the suggestion, I finally got around to trying it and unfortunately could not get this to work. Which of the .profile files holds the proxy information? What can I use to open such a file?

Is there likely to be changes made in the future as to how the proxy settings are handled?
