TwistedHelixis Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 Honda, Honda, Honda - Normal type of car if you need it to be, with a nice relaxing ride that feels expensive, but it can also be a very fun car and will put a smile on your face when you put your foot down, they also corner like they are stuck to the road. New Honda Civic VTEC 2017 | 5 Door Hatchback | Honda UK I know that it's a matter of taste but by god, that's been beaten badly with the ugly stick. The only thing on the road that's uglier is a Prius.

mikkydoos Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 I've got up to 20k to spend on a car, probably sometime this year. It's got to be/have: 2016 or newer Max Mileage 15,000 Petrol 4 or 5 door (hatchback/SUV/compact SUV/saloon) Min seats 5 Length no longer than 4.4 m 0-60 quicker than 9 seconds Luggage Capacity (Seats up) greater than 340 litres. DAB Radio Got it!
arwen Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 (edited) You could look at the Ford Kuga - it's 4.5m long, but has more than enough leg room and boot space for you... with 20k available to you you could nearly buy a new one too. 0-60 on the 1.6 ecoboost is 9.4s and the 180bhp non ecoboost is 8.9s The Kuga was my first though too, that or an estate Focus (which is 4560mm in length) ST for the acceleration you want, however the 1.5 ecoboost engine feels rather snappy too. I would recommend at least test driving this engine. Example : https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201712142043190?advertising-location=at_cars&price-to=20000&fuel-type=Petrol&maximum-mileage=15000&sort=sponsored&postcode=dd11qe&radius=1500&body-type=Estate&make=FORD&model=FOCUS&onesearchad=Used&onesearchad=Nearly%20New&onesearchad=New&zero-to-60=TO_8&page=1 A Mazda 3 2l sport could also be an option. Fitting 3 "average" sized adults in the back may be difficult in a car that is under 4.4m if you also want a big boot I'm fining. 4 fit comfortable in the Focus (I have one) If the 5th person is slim then they can sit comfortably in the middle. difinity Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 I don't get why people say don't buy french, for the car nut maybe, but my 206 has served me well for the last 4 years and was only 2.5k! I would like a new car as this is still my first but i just don't have the money with going on holiday and saving to buy a house Several years as a mechanic and breakdown mechanic. No, not all French cars are stinkers but they've been dogged by quirky design choices and dodgy electrics for years.
mikkydoos Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 If you can get up to 22K you could have one of these....... Oh sorry.. Thats 2.2M ! My bad ! 1
