CAM Posted March 11, 2018 Posted March 11, 2018 New season is nearly upon us. Who is looking forwards to it? Got a heads up for those who want to watch it on Sky. Look for the F1 Pass they are doing, it's a 9 month pass for £16 a month. Downside is you have to pay the full subscription (£150) up front before the first race weekend begins (and remember to cancel it before it expires or you get stung for the full £33 a month after the pass ends). There's also the free races and delayed highlights on Channel 4 as normal.
mikeprice Posted March 11, 2018 Posted March 11, 2018 looking forward to see what they have done over the winter and how the drivers perform this year will be watching on Channel 4 - not paying Sky just to watch F1 when I can see it a bit later on Channel 4
tg12 Posted March 11, 2018 Posted March 11, 2018 I’m looking forward to it, mostly because I saw the Red Bull car being designed and built in November when I got a factory tour, so I feel like I have a bit of a link to it now. I usually start the season looking forward to it, but end up tired of it by the end.
bald_pig Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 I hope I will be happier this year, I'm pleased with the colour scheme at least! Sadly, the testing suggests that the issue may be Alonso and not the car
simonw Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 EduGeek F1 League set up on Grid Rival. details: http://www.edugeek.net/forums/behind-red-door/194092-f1-2018-edugeek-league.html
tmoon-mint Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 Disappointed that so many F1 news sites and blogs I follow have all jumped on the McLaren are the worst thing since sliced bread band wagon. Possibly me being biased since they are my team but I don't remember RedBull getting this much stick when they had an awful pre season test in 2014. If McLaren get the engine cover issue sorted for Melbourne I see no reason why they cant be at least best of the rest.
River Posted August 3, 2018 Posted August 3, 2018 Ricciardo to Renault!!!! https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/45056366 I'm a little surprised
NokiX Posted August 3, 2018 Posted August 3, 2018 Wow I wasn't expecting that although I agree it seems like a backwards setup considering all the issues Renault have had in recent years. I guess the fact redbull are switching to Honda engines is what pushed him to continue with Renault.
mthomas08 Posted August 3, 2018 Posted August 3, 2018 That seems like a backwards step. They said that about Lewis when he left Mclaren.. now look... RBR are going to Honda. Mistake by Ric or perhaps the right move? We will find out next season.
mikeprice Posted August 3, 2018 Posted August 3, 2018 it will show how good Renault are - we know DR is an excellent driver so if Renault are still second rate then it is the team not the driver however - there have been times when a driver has moved to a lower team and them worked with them until they were at the top This could be the plan
