Rob_D Posted December 2, 2019 Posted December 2, 2019 As a nice to have, it would be really useful if the ConfigEditorGUI could import/copy settings from an older config file.
ass17 Posted December 2, 2019 Author Posted December 2, 2019 As a nice to have, it would be really useful if the ConfigEditorGUI could import/copy settings from an older config file. Would be nice, because at the moment it will only allow you to open and save the same config. I will see what I can do

Rob_D Posted December 3, 2019 Posted December 3, 2019 Hey, Really like the new version, but when we were testing 318 I came across a small issue. When using find and replace with Full Screen Mode set, the "End of text has been reached" dialogue box comes up behind the main window with no way to give it focus. As you can't interact with the main window while the dialogue box is open, it looks like the application is hanging. Thanks.

CHSwoodj Posted December 3, 2019 Posted December 3, 2019 Anyone else having an issue with the password on exit not working? I have it set in the config and the window pops up to put it in but if you click cancel it closes the program anyway. We also have it set to open in fullscreen mode but the window can still be moved around so you can still access the desktop is the something ive missed to prevent this? This is v3.1.8.0 downloaded yesterday Thanks

Ok so the issue is related to the TextControl I use, I have contacted the developers for a answer/solution/future fix, but for the time being the only way I was able to overcome this issue was a temporary solution that when the Find sidebar opens it disables the TopMost priority, so the message box appears in front, then when you close the sidebar the TopMost returns. I will put the is ASAP and release it tomorrow. 1

This is v3.1.8.0 downloaded yesterday Thanks I can’t get this to fail, I have set a password and full screen in the config and everything works as expected. Have you made sure that you have installed all the prerequisites for EWP as list in the documentation?
CHSwoodj Posted December 3, 2019 Posted December 3, 2019 Hmm, strange. Its a fresh install of windows pro (1709 i think) both the prerequisites are installed. I did have trouble downloading it yesterday and it failed a few times before I managed to successfully download it so Ill try downloading it again today in case something is corrupt.
CHSwoodj Posted December 3, 2019 Posted December 3, 2019 Just tried a fresh download and the full screen is working but I'm still able to bypass the password by pressing cancel regardless of whether I have saved the file or not

box_l Posted December 4, 2019 Posted December 4, 2019 Hi, We use Claro and Claro SE for screen reading, and ExamWritePad appears to behave differently to Word, Wordpad, notepad, all browsers and so on. We are speaking to Claro to see if they can help us, but if someone else has any ideas that would be great. Thanks in advance BoX

RLR Posted December 5, 2019 Posted December 5, 2019 (edited) Just getting round to doing some more testing. I can't seem to get this to work:ADDED: If no ‘PrintFontColour’ is specified in the config, EWP will use whatever colours are on the document window. I think the issue might be that our colour printers are set to print in black and white by default and there are no options for print preferences in EWP to change it to colour. As an alternative, is it possible to set font to bold and/or italic instead of a colour? Edited December 5, 2019 by RLR
box_l Posted December 5, 2019 Posted December 5, 2019 (edited) Has anyone else notice that if text is selected and bold or italics are applied, the header and footer disappear from the printed document. This happens if we print via Adobe PDF HP PCL 5 universal V 5.9.0 Sharp PCL6 It does not happen if we print via Microsoft PDF. It does not happen if i paste in italics or bold text from another document BoX Edited December 5, 2019 by box_l
ass17 Posted December 5, 2019 Author Posted December 5, 2019 I think the issue might be that our colour printers are set to print in black and white by default and there are no options for print preferences in EWP to change it to colour I can’t legislate for this, for a student having to remember to switch the printer properties to colour because of paper cut restrictions, would be an extra step to far maybe. What we do is separate the same printer into two, one BW and one Colour. And map the printer accordingly.
