mavhc Posted February 5, 2018 Posted February 5, 2018 Ironic that it doesn't use Google sign in for authentication
FN-GM Posted February 5, 2018 Posted February 5, 2018 If I wasn't busy with other stuff in my personal life I would have given that a crack.
RLR Posted February 6, 2018 Posted February 6, 2018 The thing I dislike about google exams is that it forces you to know about configuring chrome devices. We're a google school but don't use any chrome devices, just iPads.
Ditto Posted February 16, 2018 Posted February 16, 2018 Oh 'rude word' - appears it's now closed to new registrations.
fiza Posted February 18, 2018 Posted February 18, 2018 Hopefully the property exam will be available soon.

smoothwall Posted June 28, 2018 Posted June 28, 2018 Does anyone know when registration opens up again ? I've managed a few G suite domains now and moved over my current school over to be come a Google school so this would be ideal time to get this over and done with. Its a shame the certification only last a few years..
fiza Posted June 28, 2018 Posted June 28, 2018 Maybe @jamesleonard knows? I want to get the certification too.
TwistedHelixis Posted June 28, 2018 Posted June 28, 2018 Yep, I keep checking the cert page but its been on 'Coming soon' for months.

deano3693 Posted July 14, 2018 Posted July 14, 2018 The Guy at the training on Friday said it was originally meant to be by the end of May, then the end of June and now the end of July! We will wait and see. He did say he'd email out to all on the training when the exam was live again so i'll make sure i post here! 2
deano3693 Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 Feels like the new exam will never be finalized I agree - Desperate to take the exam!
Rich86 Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 I agree - Desperate to take the exam! Me too, I have been waiting since February to take it, I saw a response from Amplified IT that they are not expecting any updated admin certification until later this year, possibly early 2019
RLR Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 Not sure if this helps but I just got an email in regards to a webinar about becoming google cloud certified. Can register here: https://cloudonair.withgoogle.com/events/emea-gcp-certification-webinar 1

fiza Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 (edited) Interestingly I have just checked the G Suite Administrators Certification page and it now says the Admin Certification has been retired. https://cloud.google.com/certification/gsuite-administrator What is happening to the G Suite Administrator certification? The G Suite Administrator exam and certification have been retired. G Suite and cloud technologies are constantly evolving and so has the traditional G Suite administrator role. For this reason, we are developing new training and a new exam to help organizations transform the way they do business, specifically with collaboration. This exam will assess the skills needed to successfully design and administer G Suite deployments that connect colleagues, data, and devices across the globe. We expect to release a beta version by early 2019. Please check back on our website for further information. If I previously received the G Suite Administrator certification, is it still valid? Google Cloud Certifications are valid for 2 years from the date of issue. If your certification expired before Jan 9, 2018 there will not be an opportunity to recertify. All certifications that expire between January 9 - December 30, 2018 will be extended until December 31, 2018. All other certifications are valid until their expiry date. Rich86 Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 Interestingly I have just checked the G Suite Administrators Certification page and it now says the Admin Certification has been retired. https://cloud.google.com/certification/gsuite-administrator So how does one go about studying course material? I Guess I just have to wait for 2019 to know what Google are up to and perhaps provide a study guide and what the exam covers. I’m still fairly new to G Suite so the admin exam was a good starting point to get certified.
fiza Posted January 25, 2019 Posted January 25, 2019 (edited) New G Suite Certification opens for registration on 28th Jan. https://cloud.google.com/certification/gsuite Not the Administrater level exam but still might be worth taking. Edited January 25, 2019 by fiza
Ditto Posted January 25, 2019 Posted January 25, 2019 There looks as thought there may be a discounted option for education, at least for GSuite - but not just yet! You can register here. 2
Ditto Posted April 28, 2019 Posted April 28, 2019 Appears to be some movement here - and a new name https://cloud.google.com/certification/collaboration-engineer/ 1
Ditto Posted April 28, 2019 Posted April 28, 2019 but struggling to understand the difference to this - I'm working on trying to find out but one is free and the other isn't! 1
mavhc Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 One's a real course, one's a free "prove you can do the basics". Amusing that you can't log in with OAuth though. That's kinda half the point of GSuite.
