epson c1100

anyone have one of these being used at their job/school etc. sorry if this is the wrong section but theres an error saying" error re-install cartridge" i've taken it out 3-5 times and re-installed it carefully but error stays the same.

 

anyone experience this if so how did you get round it?

I seem to remember a similar problem with another Epson printer in that range.

 

Epson told one of our Techies to unplug the mains whilst holding down the power button.

Then reinsert the mains whilst holding down the power button for 10 secs.

 

Not sure what this does but it fixed the problem.
