Hi guys and girls,

Hopefully a quick one...

Does anyone know if there is an OFSted / DfE requirement for individual schools within a MAT to have their own websites?

We've now got 10 schools within our MAT and over 16 sites, the management time of these is CRAZY!!

Does anyone know if we can create a MAT site and have a webpage within the main site for each school - with 3/4 pages e.g. Heads News, Contact Info etc...

Just think it would make it MUCH simpler and more corporate!!

Cheers,

M

We are a larger MAT than you and each site has the same website but tailored to that schools branding etc. We then have website for our MAT but with links to our schools. Not sure of the requirements but think each site may need a website.

So how are you websites managed from an operational POV? Do you have IT teams at the schools that manage them, how do you ensure they are all corporate in respect to wording, branding, message etc...

Do you have corporate guidelines and standards that each school must follow? - How are these checked against compliance?

Central team do updates whilst each school a designated person has been trained on how to update them with stuff like newsletters etc.

They follow the guidelines suggested by ofsted. When i built my last places website you just go down the tick boxes.

Do you mind sharing the name of your MAT? This is something we are looking at for our trust and I'd be interested to see how you have achieved this.

the best thing we ever did was move all the policies into google drive and embeded them into the sites. updates are just shufling documents into a folder and everything is uptodate.

each school has their own site that they can customise (wordpress) as they see fit, but are responsible for outside of the statutory reqs which are managed centrally as above for the most part
