round2it Posted January 30, 2018 Posted January 30, 2018 (edited) I have been tasked with looking at GCSE pod for our school, to me it will be another SAM learning that dies a death once the novelty wears off and the teachers realise they actually have to do some work for assignments. What is your pupil uptake using the system has it made any difference. any feedback would be great Edited January 30, 2018 by round2it
round2it Posted January 31, 2018 Author Posted January 31, 2018 over 140 views and no one is using it sounds like its not as well used as the slt think.
Steve21 Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 We have it, but no idea if it's used or not As with any teaching tool don't get involved in it. Steve

Andycat Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 We have it, but no idea if it's used or not As with any teaching tool don't get involved in it. Steve Us too. We were told after it was purchased, then helped with the setting up, then retreated. 1
ataylor Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 Just had a quick look, it does have simple reporting tools for how many streams have been viewed of each category. 332 Pods streamed since the 01/01/2018 - mostly English lit followed by science, history, drama & Maths. 1
IrritableTech Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 We had it for a couple of years but have knocked it on the head now. I don't believe we got much use out of it. 1
pete Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 We have it. If staff encourage the use of and build it into their revision schemes / homework, it works. English (for example) make good use of it here. We run twilight sessions by people who like it so existing and new staff can see what other depts are doing. We've had SAM Learning and GCSEPod, GCSEPod is better provided staff are engaged. 1
round2it Posted January 31, 2018 Author Posted January 31, 2018 Thanks everyone your comments have been very usefull.
mrbios Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 We have it, i think they find it useful. For the most part i setup the sims sync then forgot about it until recently when they emailed me asking to switch to XoD for GDPR purposes. The best kind of teaching tool in my opinion.....one that doesn't bother me with issues!
