Oh what a joy it was, when at 5:20, every bit of electronic wizzardy was woken up by power being restored (didn't know it was off until that point) Fans - WHIRRRR, phone - Biddly Biddly Beep, and alarm clock - bip bip bip.

Oh how we laughed.

I could hear things at 5am banging, falling over, breaking, all sorts of noises outside. I'm sat there thinking "Oh what's going on" and expecting half my garden to be wrecked along with who knows what damage to the car.

I get outside as I go to work and nothing. Not a stone out of place. So WTF was keeping me awake???

Yep, my train cancelled all morning so can't make it into work. Tree fell on the rail line. Lucky I can do most work from home.

Fairly minor damage for my area - three fence panels blown out, but they're easy to slot back in when the gusts have died down. I did pull a wheelie bin from the middle of a nearby street whilst walking the dog this morning though.

I have been called by Mrs. P. One of our fence panels down on one side, and two of the neighbour's fence panels down on the other side. One of those panela has apparently taken itself off somewhere to some (as yet unknown) remote location.

Walking to work is a plastic tuba (in it's case) on my back, was all good until I got to the wind funnel which is the path from the gate to the main entrance, almost got blown into the car park, was quit entertaining

you in a tent or somthing?

No, definitely not! A proper brick house. I don't know if it's the extension or something, but I don't think part of my room should be shaking a bit from strong wind. Not to mention I already had a nightmare last night related to my bedroom caving in.
