These kids just went one step further and brought the gear into school to do it with, prolly just showing each other how tough they were or whatever. These kids are 9, it would take a small army of them to overpower an adult. Media over-reaction yet again.

I don't think it is overreaction at all - yes I agree that children do plot things like this but to go as far as bringing in the weapons etc... As for the small army of 9 year olds - I work in a school where there are lots of 9 year olds and some of them are pretty big. It wouldn't take more than 3 of them to overpower me if they caught me by surprise

Because normally it is 2 year olds, so if we are changing the goal posts to 9 year olds then a whole new strategy will need to be thought up!

Exactly what i was thinking! I know a few teachers who would have thoroughly deserved what those kids were planning (not in the school i work at btw)

tech_guy Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 (edited) My brother-in-law was on a business trip to Russia recently and around the corner from his hotel a gang of 4 street-kids nearly beat a 24 year old guy to death for his watch and his phone.
