Anyone come across a similar problem? I have two Toshiba A300s that stutter with any sound that is played on them. This includes Cds, DVDs, internet content, and even the startup/shutdown sounds on Windows XP. The only way I can describe it accurately is that whatever sound is stuttering sounds like rapid machine gun fire sounds that a kid would make while they're playing soldier games :s The latpop responsiveness slows down too while the stuttering is happening, the mouse sticks on the screen and only releases once the stuttering stops. Other A300s that were cloned from the same master are fine. Any ideas?

It's been in school for about 3 months working quite happily, then all of a sudden it just stopped.

Yeah that was my original thought, but I've tried two others that are working fine but they give the same results.

Well the monitor just won't display anything, seen this now on a few Dell's, the orange light stays on when you turn on the PC and the monitor thinks it's in standby mode. If I plug in a different monitor it works fine, if I plug something else into the original monitor, it displays fine. The two just don't seem to like each other. If it try pressing the monitor menu button, the message says to press the power button or any key on the keyboard, but this of course doesn't work, else I wouldn't be posting about it Anyone got any ideas as to why they won't talk?

Who didn't think about planning to beat up their teacher when they were at school? These kids just went one step further and brought the gear into school to do it with, prolly just showing each other how tough they were or whatever. These kids are 9, it would take a small army of them to overpower an adult. Media over-reaction yet again.
