[mdt] SQL Issue

MDT is driving me nuts as I rebuild this server. When trying to get the database sorted I am getting the following error when trying to allocate db_datawriter and db_datareader - never had this issue before. Tempted just to throw it all in the bin and start again.

 

I'm far from an expert on this - and am about to Google but maybe someone has seen it.

When i have connected MDT to SQL.

i have just created an "MDT User" and from memory it just needs read access to the SQL.

i dont rename or touch any of the existing accounts within SQL (i set an SA password and setup windows authentication if its needed to manage the DB)

are you trying to rename an account?

@garethedmondson have you just tried it anyway after dismissing the error? I have seen a similar issue recently in SQL, but it did actually make the changes despite the error suggesting otherwise...
