Have to admit to being pretty excited by this. At the risk of sounding like a DC-hating Marvel fanboy, Marvel do seem to have a better grasp on what their audience wants. I wasn't going to bother with Justice League until one of the later trailers (and I put off this week's trip out until next week due to needing to do some paperwork!) but I'm loving the look of this trailer.

You don't have to be a fanboy to see how much DC is trying to play catch-up. They hadn't had a real hit on their hands since the Dark Knight trilogy, and attempts at bringing multiple heros/villains/antiheros together like Suicide Squad fell flat on their face, feeling like they were pandering more to ADHD sufferers than anything else. So far anything recent involving Batman and Superman have been dire, there's been little or no attempt at leveraging any sort of comedy. Wonder Woman has been their first proper success in ages so they'd need to continue to improve.

Marvel stuff is far from perfect, they have ups and downs but generally they are consistent if nothing else. I'm just starting my Marvel education from scratch (well, Iron Man) after getting into Guardians of the Galaxy :D

I'm not a fan. The only CW show that interested me enough to start watching was Legends, which I dropped fairly quickly. On other channels I started and dropped Gotham and Supergirl (pre CW) though if they hadn't cancelled Constantine I'd have kept watching.

With Marvel, I'm happy with AoS and was happy with Agent Carter before the axe fell. At least the others sparked some interest. That said, I've only started some of the Netflix shows and will probably only finish Jessica Jones S1 (possibly Daredevil S1). On other channels I've tried and dropped Legion and can't see carrying on with Inhumans or Gifted. Not started Runaways, but not holding out much hope. So a small win for Marvel from me.

Guess I am a Marvel fanboy, though, as I'll generally at least give their shows a try - but the DC ones have to have something special to make me even want to start one.

Jessica Jones S1 is pretty brilliant when David Tennant turns up, he really makes that season, Daredevil S2 has some amazing fight scenes. Legion got better at the end and I would give Runaways a try, it was better than I thought it was going to be.

Legion is the most audacious show on tv, love it. Runaways appears to be a kids show, only saw 1 episode. Everyone knows that Inhumans is the worst thing ever, no need to watch even 1 episode of that.

I do intend to carry on with the Netflix shows, but as Mme LeMarchand isn't keen it's difficult to find the time.

I literally thought the same thing about runaways but I binged it and it was a lot less kids than I thought.

Sorry, but Legion was too "Oooh! Look how weird we can be!" for my liking. Gave it a few eps; not my kinda thing and life's too short. Runaways may get better, but the first ep had no likeable characters apart from maybe the young lad trying to reunite the group and was like a bad ep of a teen high school soap until the end - too little, too late. I believe e02 swaps the POV to the adults, but again I would rather watch something that I was actively enjoying.

They did leave out a few characters from this one and if you watched the film til the end of the credits you'd see a teaser as to who is to (potentially) appear in the next one.

I have to admit though, I'd avoided any discussion about the film and was shocked at the ending! Can't wait until the sequel.

So, to start us off, I came across this gem of Mark Ruffalo giving away the ending in a July interview last year!

Don Cheadle is none too impressed! - https://www.themarysue.com/mark-ruffalo-infinity-war-spoilers/

Might explain why a shot in the trailer didn't make the film. Ruffalo may have had his part cut as punishment for spilling the beans.

My vote for the next title?

Loved it - have seen it twice - not something I normally do but it was definitely worth it. Saw stuff I had missed first time around. It was quite funny because we left before the scene after the credits and you could hear people muttering all around us about what we were missing. I wanted to shout "I've SEEN IT" !

Not sure about the little bit of empathy they gave Thanos - made him a little more sympathetic than he is in the comics

a decent film but get the impression that it is trying to achieve too much and is suffering,

still cant see why it was sooooo hyped.

marvel are going to over saturate us with all these films imo

Just read an interesting theory about A:IW. The suggestion is that the reason Banner seemed a bit spaced and couldn't control The Hulk was that...

Loki was in the driving seat, not Banner.
